Marbling is the process of floating paints on the surface of a thick cellulose solution (called "size"), somewhat like oil on water. The floating paints are swirled into patterns. Then you capture your design with fabric or paper.

Marbling is similar to cooking, it is impossible to prescribe an exact recipe. Everyone has his/her own mixture of colors and patterns that s/he wish to reflect to the world.

It is that easy and a great project for kids, small parties and classes!
